An environmentally friendly occasion is perhaps the trend that is gaining the most strength among brides who wish to include awareness of the protection of nature in their wedding celebration.

To understand eco-friendly weddings we must refer to other fundamental concepts such as recycling, reuse and minimal waste of materials. This has led many brides to choose to make their own wedding invitations; using recycled paper and even writing the messages on the cards themselves so as not to require the use of ink and printers.

As for the setting, outdoor spaces are preferred by brides who want to give their wedding a special connection with nature and make it one of the main protagonists in the decoration, with a very minimalist style in floral design, (completely renouncing the use of floral foam) and using seasonal flowers to reduce the environmental impact.

There is also talk of living centerpieces when small flower pots or seedlings are used in accompaniment with rustic and natural decorative items.

Another key aspect of this trend is the celebration of the wedding ceremony or ritual and the reception within the same place in order to avoid additional travel by vehicle, encouraging the use of cars shared by guests. Likewise, brides prefer to hold their wedding early in the day to take advantage of natural light and reduce the use of electricity as much as possible.
